In the green village high in the Apokoronas mountains lies Nippos.  There is a building plot inside the village limits of 275.19 sqm with a few ruins/walls still standing reveiling the history of the old inhabitants, who used to have an old olive fabric there, the old steel press still stands there.   The plot can build upto 400 sqm and if the new owner decides to rebuild the ruins he/she can apply for subsidies which cover upto half of the renovation expenses.

The municipality of Kryonerida occupies the central part of the district of Apokoronas. It borders the municipality of Vamos on the north, the municipality of Sfakia on the south, the municipality of Georgioupolis on the east and the municipality of Fres on the west.   Nippos is 3.2 km from the center of Vrisses and 9.5 km from Georgioupoli.  The sandy beach is 10 km away.

Nippos has it's own supermarket, cafe and taverna.
